Ocimum basilicum
This uniform, slow to bolt, classic basil variety has a concentrated flavor and fine, sweet fragrance that is fantastic for seasonings, salads, garnishes and pesto.
GROW GUIDE CONDITIONS:
Aromatic basil is a perfect companion plant with tomatoes. It is a warm season crop and is best started indoors 4–6 weeks before your last frost date.
GROW GUIDE SEED:
Plant seeds ¼ inch deep and place on a heating mat or in a warm place (optimum soil temperature is 70–90°F). Transplant 12 inches apart, or in containers. It can be direct seeded outdoors throughout the summer to keep you in fresh pesto!
